BIX, (or Bixbrand), a parish in the hundred of Binfield, in the county of Oxford, 4 miles to the N.W. of Henley-upon-Thames, its post town. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Oxford, of the value of £487, in the patronage of the Earl of Macclesfield.
